About Bushcraft Barbie

I'm a devoted firewife, mom to four (so far) beautiful people I homeschool, a midwife, and a writer. I am married to a wild man -- who happens to be a philosopher. A savage gentleman who runs into fires for a living and melts and forms metal into sharp blades for fun while talking about complex theological concepts like they are old friends. I like it that way.

I live in a small Southern town full of warriors and their surprisingly strong and gentle women, where southern values and all the geographical hardships that have turned these people into what they are have made a rugged and beautiful landscape and culture. It's perfect.

My homeschooled kids don't know how to raise their hands or stand in a line, but they think Church is exciting, they can recite poetry, and they can track animals through the woods. I like it that way.
